How do I book a booth in Detroit?
Pick the party on michiganafterdark.com, choose your table and party size, and pay by card. You'll get a QR pass by email straight away — show it at the door. Tables at Detroit Blues Cafe run $50 to $100 depending on size.
How does the free birthday celebration work?
The birthday guest gets in free with valid ID when the party falls within 10 days of their birthday. It covers entry for that one guest — a table is charged as normal. Claim it on the Free Birthday page and bring ID matching the date on your account.
What's the age limit?
All Michigan After Dark venues are 21 and over. Everyone needs valid photo ID at the door, and the name on the booking should match the ID of whoever holds it.
Do I need to pay the whole table up front?
No. You can pay 50% at checkout and the balance 48 hours before the party, or pay in full. If the balance isn't paid by the 48-hour mark the table is released and the deposit is forfeited.
Can I get a refund if I can't make it?
Payments are non-refundable. You can cancel from your account any time before the party — your passes stop working and the table goes back up for someone else — but what you've paid isn't returned.
How late can we arrive?
Your party needs to arrive no later than two hours after the event starts, or the table may be given away.
Does everyone in my group need their own pass?
Yes, and it's easier that way. Each guest gets their own QR code, so you don't all have to arrive together. Add their names and emails in your account and send each of them their pass.
Which clubs are on Michigan After Dark?
Detroit Blues Cafe on Gratiot Avenue in Detroit, and DUO Restaurant & Lounge on Northwestern Highway in Southfield. First Class Fridays runs weekly at Detroit Blues Cafe with two floors of nonstop music — R&B, reggae and afrobeats.
What does it cost to get in?
It depends on the night. First Class Fridays at Detroit Blues Cafe is $5 for ladies with an RSVP before 11PM. Each event page shows that night's door deal before you book.
How do I get party alerts?
Sign up on the site with your email, and add your phone if you want text alerts too. Text alerts are optional and you can stop them any time by replying STOP.
